Western Sydney and Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.

Welcome to the service website for Area H.

If you are looking for help with an alcohol problem or want general information about Alcoholics Anonymous you should go to the National Office website.

Here is where you can find out what is happening and how you could get involved in AA service in this Area.

A good place to start is with the Area H Newsletter or the Area Assembly Minutes and Reports.

See Service in Women's Prisons - one of the major activities.

Does your Group have a GSR (General Service Representative), which is perhaps the most crucial service position of all? You can check this on the list of Groups and Meetings.

Our primary purpose

The primary purpose of AA is to carry the message of recovery to those who need and want it. Each Area in Australia is responsible for ensuring that AA provides this service in two main ways:

Where is Area H?

Area H is the newest Area in Australia having been split from another Area in January 2006. It has approximately 90 meetings extending from Burwood across Western Sydney to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, to Lalor Park and North Richmond on its northern edge and Campbelltown and Fairfield on its southern side. It is one of eight Areas within the Eastern Region of AA in Australia. The Eastern Region is roughly (not exactly) defined by the NSW state boundaries plus the Australian Capital Territory.
